Melissa and Will’s Durham Hill Farm wedding in stunning Bucks County Pennsylvania took place on June 3rd 2023.
I first really got to know the two of them during our engagement session where we walked around New Hope enjoying all the beautiful spots on the canal and in town. Melissa and Will were sure to include their adorable pup Abigale in their engagement shoot and you could just see the love between the two and for Abigale. As a dog lover myself I always enjoy when my clients include their furry friends for engagement photo shoots. How can you leave a vital part of the family home for such a big occasion.
Fast forward to Melissa and Will’s Durham Hill Farm wedding day – it was the perfect place for their laidback and unique wedding. The couple chose not to have a wedding party, but Melissa did get ready with her sister, sister in law and friend. Will spent his getting ready time hanging out with his brother who also officiated the wedding and getting Abigale ready.
Melissa and Will opted for a first look and to read private vows from one another, it was a tear jerker. One unique thing that Meliss and Will did that I loved was they chose to have a pre ceremony cocktail half hour with their guests, this allowed them to really be present with all of their loving friends and family.
As the minute ticked down for their ceremony, the couple were ushered away for a few minutes alone in the Durham Hill Farm bridal suite. The couple opted to walk each other down the aisle which really showed how much the day was just about them and their love, I loved this unique and special touch. After they said “I do” they were able to enjoy another hour with their guests before moving into the beautiful barn for their reception. The couple chose to forgo any announcement and most formalities, this allowed them to really interact with each guest and enjoy lots of time on the dance floor.
It was such an enjoyable wedding to be a part of and I loved every minute of it. Congratulations Melissa and Will!
