On June 29th, 2024, Erin and Kevin celebrated their love with a breathtaking wedding at Durham Hill Farm. This picturesque venue, with its rolling hills and rustic charm, set the stage for a day that was as enchanting as it was heartfelt. But before diving into the details of their beautiful celebration, let’s take a moment to revisit how these two found each other.

How They Met

The story of Erin and Kevin’s meeting is as charming as their wedding day. It all began during my first teaching job at Rhawnhurst. I worked alongside Kevin’s sister-in-law, Jess, who was a new mom to her son, Luke. At the time, Jess was focused on her new role as a mother, so we didn’t have the chance to get to know each other very well. However, a few years later, after I had moved on from Rhawnhurst, I stayed in touch with some of the teachers from the school.

One day, while catching up with these friends, they mentioned they were trying to set me up with someone. Jess chimed in, saying her brother-in-law, Kevin, was single and might be a good match. A blind date was set up at Shady Brook Farm. To ease the nerves, we went as a group. When we arrived, Kevin was briefly introduced to me but spent most of the evening with his brothers. Little did I know, he had almost skipped the evening altogether due to exhaustion from work and recovering from pneumonia!

As the night progressed, Kevin and I started talking. I was intrigued when he shared his love for his dog. In a surprising twist, I leaned across the table and admitted that I wasn’t fond of dogs—an amusing fact, given that I now adore our own dog!

They wandered over to visit the horses on the farm, a charming touch that highlighted the venue’s rustic charm.
